Along with this came a 10% increase in the stock offerings of the company. Obviously, people thought that with the change, good things will happen. Business talks with Google recently failed due to the Antitrust questions that the Federal Government raised up. Google didn’t want to play and that signaled the end for Jerry.

What will Yahoo do? It has two options - continue to implement it’s existing business strategy or sell the business. Speculators say that they might just do a little bit selling at first to get some big revenue boosts while focusing on implementing some of its existing business strategy. It is widely believed that Microsoft will go back to talks with Yahoo to at least buy some parts they are interested in - probably Search and/or Email.

This means you just might see a Yahoo/MSN logo either in your email or on Yahoo Searches. Extreme case - you’ll see MSN on your Yahoo Messenger.

Meanwhile, local Yahoo’s PRESS release - “Business As Usual.”

Netflix:

Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) is an online DVD rental service, offering flat rate rental-by-mail and online streaming to customers in the United States. Established in 1997 and headquartered in Los Gatos, California, it has amassed a collection of 100,000 titles and approximately 8.2 million subscribers.

If you think about it, this is like iTunes now - a software client that downloads watchable videos. As long as you have a NetFlix account, you can stream movies! Perhaps Microsoft will have more success with this little experiment.

As of this very moment, I’m sick. Been under the weather this past two days and the work pause, along with something I watched at the discovery channel, has made me think reflectively.

You see, I’m at the verge of some personal life changes. It’s private but all my close friends know about it.

The new stuff I’m diving into might mean I won’t be able to blog much. I’m also thinking that the blogging scene is getting crowded with people who write about all kinds of informative stuff.

Instead of just being another blogger — I’m starting to think a bit differently. There’s so much more I can do to reach people and provide value.

I can still write - YES.

But I have this stupid, weird, built-in drive to somehow change the world. I see myself getting more and more into that.

So what does this all mean?

I might be quiet for a while.

Well, at least I can get all the crazy things in my head sorted out.

Or maybe until laziness takes over me and I just blog again just for the sake of blogging something.

Anyway for those who’ve stuck with me, here’s a thank you “Matrix is Windows” movie for you all.

It would seem that Apple is now taking a gamble on the local market with an online store like this. As Globe released the iPhone, I would think that many Filipinos bought software from the iTunes App store (since that’s the only thing you can buy there anyway).

Truth be told, I did buy one software from the iTunes store.

Perhaps seeing the shopping numbers there, Apple thought - “What the hell? There’s a market in the Philippines!”

Perhaps not. Who can tell? (The local Apple execs probably).

Still, this is good news for Mac fans. Heck, I might just buy something just to try it out.
